Aloha, Chaminade parents!

This is one of the happiest times of year at Chaminade University as we celebrate the holiday season and the conclusion of final exams.

We recently held a festive event, “’Twas the Light Before Chaminade Christmas,” featuring “Reindeer games,” hot cocoa, karaoke, crafts, a gingerbread house contest and the ceremonial lighting of Clarence T.C. Ching Hall by University President Lynn Babington.

Afterwards, many students boarded trolleys to view the popular Honolulu City Lights display at City Hall.

Looking ahead, for you parents with senior students, we hope you can join us Monday evening, December 18, as we honor our graduates at the Fall 2017 Commencement Exercises. This heartwarming and well-attended event is held at nearby Neal Blaisdell Center. Admission is free and tickets are not required.

Following the recessional, a meet-and-greet will take place in the center’s Exhibition Hall so graduates can receive hugs and kisses from families and friends. Bring handkerchiefs – and lei – of course!

So, from all our faculty, staff and students at Chaminade University, we wish you a merry Christmas and joyous New Year. God bless!
